“The City had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in
it for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And
the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of
the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at
all by day; there shall be no night there.” (Revelation 21:23-25)
As beautiful as a sunrise can be now, there is coming a time when those who have given their hearts and souls to Jesus Christ will live in eternal light so brilliant, there will be no need of the sun. For Christ shall be the light that illuminates the new heaven, the new earth, and the heavenly city, which God has prepared for those who love Him.
There will also be no night in the new heaven and the new earth. Never any darkness again. Ever.
Can you imagine!
Whenever I get stressed, irritated or depressed, it's because I take my focus off the Lord and look at the darkness and perversity of this current world and its corrupt culture and world system. When the apostle Peter locked his eyes on Jesus, he literally walked on water until he shifted his focus onto the raging storm and waves.
Many times when I have felt like I was sinking in despair, I too have cried out to the Lord, "Save me!" And He has. God is faithful. And though He never does things exactly how or when I expect Him to, He is always right on time.
Today's message is short and sweet.
Whether you're a Christian who is sinking in despair, or a non-believer who knows of your great need for Jesus, and His great love for you, cry out to Him today; "Lord, save me!" And immediately He will stretch out His hand and save you.
He is faithful, always.
